Psalm 10

Lord, why does it seem like You are holding back? Why is it when trouble strikes, sometimes it seems that You just sit back and let the bad guys win?  The wicked are proud and they go after those who are weak.  They are boastful and greedy, always cursing the Lord.  Their pride keeps them from seeing their dire need for God Almighty and they do only what is pleasing to them.   They think that nothing can shake them, that their life will be full of happiness and ease. With their mouth they sin constantly, lying, cursing, and threatening anyone who comes against them.  They cause nothing but trouble, shedding innocent blood, sneaking around just waiting to catch someone off guard.  They don't fight fair and they think that everything they do is in secret, they really believe that God doesn't see all the evil that they bring about.


God I pray that You would show the wicked Your mighty power.  I beg that You don't forget those that are helpless and that You will remember each and every action of those who are wicked and evil.  Those bad people think You don't see the grief that they cause, but You do, You see it all and one day You will take maters into Your own hands.  Justice will be served.  


God I am so thankful that You are a Father to the fatherless, You help those who have been victimized, and You will care for those who are Your children.  Deal with the wicked, call them to account for all they think they did in secret.  


You are King forever and ever, God, You hear the cries of the afflicted, and You listen.  You are our great Defender, God, and for that I praise You!
