ABOUT

A passion for creating and sharing the love of Christ and that old, old story were born out of the gift of a few old window sashes and the need to make a little extra money. What started out as just painting on old windows has now blossomed into taking the old and giving it new life, just like Christ has done for me.

2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!  And then over in Revelation 21:5, “He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.””

I love to paint on windows, canvases, cabinet doors, barn wood, shutters, furniture, the walls...anything I can get my hands and paint brushes on. God has been so gracious to me and has given me a gift and I intend on sharing it. I love all things old, rustic, and southern!

And it doesn't just stop with painting....it's all things domestic, really.  Creating, painting, cooking, decorating, thrifting, and being thrifty! Burlap is my favorite fabric {and my favorite color} and any good craft wouldn't be complete without a little distressing.

...I am a curly-haired southern girl, Jesus lover, a lover of music, and wife to an incredible man who treats me far better than I deserve.  I've been saved by an amazing grace and try to use every opportunity to extend it to others.  I love being in the kitchen, getting my hands dirty in the garden, and making a mess in my craft room.  If I'm cleaning my house, that usually means I am redecorating, and I'm always humming some hymn or tune.

This is where I share my life, the beauty and the not so beautiful.  Because, truth is, it a'int always pretty.  But even when it gets tough and the road seems long, I serve a God who is always faithful.

I hope you find my blog to be a breath of fresh air and leave feeling inspired, encouraged, and loved, and please,  feel free to leave a message or comment for any questions you might have!
