Psalm 7

Protect me, God, because You alone are my protector.  I trust You and I plead with You to save me form those who persecute me...rescue me God!  If you don't save me from them then no one will.  God, if I am in the wrong here and have been unjust to others, if I have betrayed people or taken from my enemies just because I felt like it, then go ahead and let them get me.  Let them rub my face in the dust and trample my honor.  I have nothing to hide from You and I have done nothing wrong.

Lord, I pray that Your anger will burn against my enemies.  That You will stand up against them and that justice will be served.  Lord gather everyone on earth around You and judge the nations.  Oh Lord, I know I was born a sinner but because of Your great sacrifice, I anticipate Your mercy.  God, call me righteous, not because of anything I have done, but because of the blood that covers me.  Lord, I am innocent.  Put an end to those who are wicked and defend Your children.  You know those who call Your name, who bear fruit for Your glory, and suffer in Your name.

You are my protector, and You save those whose hearts are right with You.  You are the only honest judge and You are just.  Wickedness always brings You anger.  If a person chooses not to repent, You will prepare for battle.  You will gather together Your weapons for You are a Great Warrior.

The wicked will only bring about evil, they bear trouble and give birth to lies.  They tell a grand story to deceive and trap others, yet they fall into the trap themselves.  The trouble they bring on others will one day backfire and the violence they caused will be on them.

Father, I thank You, because You are just...You will always do what is right.  And no matter what, I will praise You and You alone.  Only Your name will I praise.
