My Versions of the Ruffle Wreath

I have recently become enthralled with all the cute wreaths I keep finding all throughout blogdom. One of my favorite blogs for wreaths is Jones Design Company. Her tutorials are fabulous!!! So, instead of doing my own tutorial for the fantastic Ruffle Wreath, I just thought I would give you the link to hers. It's way better than I could have done anyways...

Ruffle Wreath Tutorial
The above link will take you to the tutorial for this precious design.

So far, I've made two, adjusting them to my taste and style...

Number One...

This is the first ruffle wreath I made...you know me, I love me some burlap!! It is so versatile! Depending on accessories, it can be country, or shabby chic, decorative, or casual. One of the greatest inventions, in my opinion.

I made three flowers from two different fabrics, glued them onto the wreath, and then using one of the fabrics, I tied a bow and used it to hang the wreath.

Number Two...

I know I use the term favorite ALL the time, but this has got to be one of my favorites, too!! I just love it. It's so classy, I think I'll call this my "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas" Ruffle Wreath. Instead of burlap, I wrapped the entire wreath with white fabric, and then used the same white fabric to make the ruffles.

For the flowers and embellishments, I used lots of notions, lace, scraps of netting, rick rack, jingle bells, and these wonderful OLD silver glass sprays. I'm not real sure what you call them, but that's the best I've got! Do you remember when I was blogging about that great yard sale before the estate sale back in Junking: Parte Uno, and that big box of crafting booty I found? Well, all of the embellishments for this wreath came from that box of goodies! Isn't it incredible!

I hope you enjoyed these. Maybe you'll be inspired to make your own lovely ruffle wreath!
