Thursday Updates...

The last couple of days have been super busy, trying to get ready for the craft show this weekend. I pulled all of my creations out tonight, only to find that I have MORE than enough to sell. I thought I was gonna be short but that is the least of my worries. I need a store!! That's on the bucket list! Now I am just trying to figure out how I will display it all.

I wanted to share a few things with you that I have been working on. Remember the tutorial for the Cake Platter? Well, a dear friend of mine will also be at the show this weekend, displaying her super delicious, wonderfully tasty cheesecakes, so I made several of the cake pedestals for her to use as displays (and to possibly sell for me, too!)

A few Saturdays ago, I found all of these gorgeous plates and the candle holders at the Habitat.

And this is the end result...

I thought these turned out really nice! If these don't sell at my shows, I thought about listing them on Etsy, or they'll be perfect for the Holidays.

I also made a small bulletin board. I saw something similar to this on some blog out there, I think they were creating a knock off from Ballard Designs...

I had a small piece of a board left over from a sign, placed a thin layer of quilt batting on top of the board, then stapled the burlap over it. I made a stencil of the "&" sign, then traced it with a black permanent marker onto the burlap. I stapled a piece of black ribbon to the back of the board to hang it, then colored the top of 4 white push pins with the black permanent marker, sticking one into each corner of the bulletin board...and Ta Daa!
