Lord, I pray that You would help this old world out. It seems like those who serve You are becoming less and less...like Christians are disappearing. Every time I turn around, someone is gossiping or spreading rumors, and then they turn around and call themselves friends of the very people they were talking about. I just don't get it. God, I pray that You would shut the mouths of the wicked, keep them from speaking their idle words. They think they are something because they can talk the talk.
God, You tell me that You will rise up for Your children, those being oppressed. You say that You are our mighty fortress and our safety. And I know Your words to be pure and true. You will keep all Your promises, You will protect Your children, and You will defend the heirs to Your throne.
And I know that there will still be the wicked that we must face each day. But we have a promise of eternity...We have hope. That no matter what they do to us, this old world is not the end.
My question is about this part: "Every time I turn around, someone is gossiping or spreading rumors, and then they turn around and call themselves friends of the very people they were talking about. I just don't get it."
ReplyDeleteYeah, your right, and I get that you are supposed to pray about it, but how do you react or act with a person who does this and you are face to face with them? Or when you dont like a person but have to be around them. Do you just be nice, avoid them, avoid conversation and interaction with them, act nice and hope they see God in you and change, but thats fake and a lie, if you do that then they will see that not God in you. The psalm should make one self analyze and will cause you to search the scripture intensely indeed. It will tell us that we really must be sure we are not proud or vain and that we need to understand what God considers well in character. Comparing ourselves to others in the world won’t get us far because we are comparing ourselves to evil.
