My oh my, how the time does fly! We are a third of the way through 2014, folks! I'm having a hard time taking it all in! Life has been super busy around here lately, with job transitions, and school, (oh yeah, I forgot to mention I've gone back to school), and spring cleaning, and projects!
Don't get me wrong, I love a full life...filled with Jesus, the people I hold most dear, good food, sunshine, and creativity...God is so good and His blessings are abundant... and some days it would be nice to hit the pause button and just soak up His Presence, being filled with His promises, and resting in His Word.
I'm learning to make each day count without a pause button though, because in all honesty, that big red button with those five bold letters P-A-U-S-E...well it doesn't exist. So in this season of life, I'm soaking up His Presence as I clean my house and get to love on my co-workers and customers, I am being filled with His promises and reminded of them as I have a home to return to, a husband to cook for, friends and family that are in my corner, encouraging and supporting me, and I am resting in His Word as it flows from brush to canvas, when I'm belting out some Sara Groves or Needtobreathe while driving down the road, or when He is softly whispering of the great love He has for me while I study His Word.
Bottom line...time marches on and praise be to God, because He is with us every single step of the way.
"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
His compassions they fail not;
They are new every morning:
Great is Your Faithfulness.
"The Lord is my portion," says my soul,
"therefore, I will hope in Him."
Lamentations 3:22-24
