...Pocket Full of Posies...
In the past few days I have learned quite a bit about myself...but there has been one thing in particular...
I have a thing for cute little flowers! Felt flowers, crocheted flowers, flower brooches, flowers in my hair, pink flowers, brown flowers, white flowers, yellow flowers....well, you get the picture? I guess you could say that some kind of a flower has sorta become my signature.
Yesterday, I was surfing the Internet, lookin' for some new ideas and I saw a yarn wreath....with felt flowers...and I feel in amore! So, of course I rushed home and..."Viola!"... Is this not the cutest thing ever!
I used a wicker wreath that I found at the dollar store for, you guessed it, $1.00, a ball of yarn (I chose yellow for spring), and several sheets of 3 different colors of felt. I first wrapped the wreath with yarn. (This part of the craft was the most time consuming.) I then cut the felt, winding it around and around, creating the cute little flowers you see above, and then I hot-glued them to the wreath... You will definitely be seeing more of these in the future!
And because the flowers are what caught my eye at first, I made a couple of extras and decided to make brooches out of them. This whole project was so shabby chic, and SO simple.
Spring fever is catching, so watch out...before you know it, you will fall in love with these darling little flowers, too! Until next time...
